Submissions

We will reopen for submissions from 6/30/2026 – 8/30/2026. After this point we will open for our next session on 1/1/2027.

As an online journal geared specifically towards exploring the city, we accept poetry, flash fiction, and flash creative nonfiction related to this subject. Photography and art relating to the city and the city experience is also welcome. You can explore any themes or issues in your work, as long as they are related to a city or cities in some way. We do not accept work created by AI. Simultaneous submissions are welcome. Please inform us if you learn your submission will be published elsewhere.

ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY:  Please send your photos and art in jpeg, gif, or png format via duotrope. Please limit your submission to 20 photographs and 3 pieces of artwork.

FLASH FICTION:  All forms of previously unpublished flash fiction is accepted.  Please submit via duotrope.

POETRY:  All forms of previously unpublished poetry is accepted. Please submit via duotrope. Limit 3 poems per submission.

FLASH CREATIVE NONFICTION/ FLASH NARRATIVE NONFICTION:  All forms of previously unpublished flash creative nonfiction is accepted. Maximum word count 1000 words. Please submit via duotrope.
